The Unit for Judaic Studies at the Institute for the Near and Middle East (LMU Munich) is pleased to announce the concluding conference of the project Beyond Conflict and Coexistence: An Entangled History of Jewish-Arab Relations (Munich, Halle, Heidelberg 2022–2026).

The conference will explore how materiality mediates, shapes, or challenges Jewish-Arab relations across historical and spatial contexts. It will bring together scholars to discuss manuscripts, documents, inscriptions, architecture, and objects of everyday life as critical interfaces of Jewish-Arab entanglement
